Roane grew up in Irvington on Hudson, N.Y., where – even as a teen – he displayed a strong affinity for the values of hospitality. He started and ran a company during his teen years, offering clients a variety of event services. Pulling various elements of an event together simply came natural to him as did marketing community functions. While attending college, Roane worked for an array of catering companies and restaurants before joining Gracie’s in 2005. In 2006, he became the wine & spirits director for Gracie’s until 2008, when he relocated to Napa Valley, CA to work as Trade Specialist for Nickel & Nickel Single Vineyard Wines and Far Niente. In 2010, he rejoined the Gracie’s team as the wine & sprits director, before assuming his current role as Director of Marketing & Events. Roane is responsible for the planning and execution of all restaurant events. He is also charged with networking throughout the state and advancing the Gracie’s brand through various marketing, public relations and social media initiatives. He remains active in the community producing and marketing events as a member of networking and professional groups including: The United States Bartenders Guild, International Special Events Society, local food & wine festivals, Bravo (part of the RI Philharmonic), and The March of Dimes. In addition, Roane is the co-producer of The Eat Drink RI Festival which will be held in April 2013.
