Hemenway’s to Host Cline Family Cellars & Gust Vineyards Wine Dinner

Hemenway’s Restaurant located at 121 South Main Street in Providence, Rhode Island is pleased to present a four-course wine dinner featuring Cline Family Cellars and Gust Vineyards on Tuesday, September 13th.
The evening will be presented by Hilary Cline, a second-generation member of the Cline family, which owns and operates Cline Family Cellars and Jacuzzi Family Vineyards in the Sonoma-Carneros region of California. A reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The cost of the event is $125 per person; tax and gratuity are additional. Hemenway’s culinary team has created a four-course dinner with each course to complement a specific varietal from the vineyard. The reception will feature Smoked Bluefish Pâté, local Oysters on the Half Shell, Jonah Crab Cakes, and warm Great Hill Blue Soufflé, all enjoyed with the Jacuzzi Pina Asolo Prosecco.
The evening will begin with a first course of Pan Seared Sea Scallops with local corn soufflé, heirloom tomato consommé, crispy soppressata, persimmon beurre blanc, and sorrel, paired with the apricot, pear, and tropical fruit-forward 2021 Cline Viognier.
The second course will feature Grilled Mackerel with a coconut rice cake, roasted hen of the woods mushrooms, braised bok choy, and jeow som sauce, complemented by the 2020 Gust Chardonnay, inspired by the great wines of Montrachet and offering searing acidity with an equal amount of texture, flavor and finesse.
The third course will be a Surf and Turf with grilled Blackbird Farm hanger steak and chimichurri and pan-roasted striped bass with piperade, potato pavé, roasted vegetables, and the rich and expressive 2020 Gust Pinot Noir,featuring notes of earth and spice with an array of red fruits on the nose.
Dinner will conclude with a Warm Peach and Blueberry Galette with frangipane, cinnamon anglaise, sour cream gelato, complemented by the ripe cherry and chocolate notes of the 2019 Cline Mourvèdre Ancient Vine.
