40% of food grown and imported in the U.S. is wasted, but you can help. Reducing wasted food not only benefits the environment, but can provide opportunities to feed your community, save money, and improve public health. Restaurants are facing unique and unprecedented challenges. Drawing from over two decades working with restaurants, the Center for EcoTechnology, Clean Ocean Access, and Zero Waste Providence have designed a series just for you! We will highlight success stories from your peers that have implemented prevention, donation, and composting programs. Join us for refreshments and inspiration.
Our first installment will be at Stoneacre Garden on Monday, January 31 at 6pm.
Not only will you leave with an understanding of the next steps for reducing wasted food, but all attendees have access to free one-on-one support and guidance. Together, we can make Rhode Island a better place to live and work!
