Alton Brown: On Tour — An Eater SeriesUpdated with two additional videos.

Alton Brown brought his “Eat Your Science” tour to the Providence Performing Arts Center on April 23, 2016. While in Rhode Island, Brown visited several local restaurants and produced videos with Eater at PPAC, Bolt Coffee Company, The Shop and Olneyville NY System where Brown repeatedly proclaimed his love for coffee milk.

Two additional videos involve his call for delivery of Allie’s Donuts (which included a gift of Narragansett Beer) and his visit to The Arcade and New Harvest Coffee & Spirits. Check out the five video series below.

Providence Restaurant Week or Providence Restaurant WeeksFrom the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau comes the news of the next Providence Restaurant Week. As has become the tradition in the area, Restaurant Week has grown to Restaurant Weeks, running for two full weeks beginning Sunday, January 13. Restaurants Statewide are on the Menu For Providence Winter Restaurant Weeks January 13-26

The top food city in the United States is warming up winter with Providence Winter Restaurant Weeks, January 13-26. Diners may choose about 80 restaurants offering three-course, prix fixe lunches for $14.95 and three-course prix fixe dinners for $29.95. A comprehensive list of all participating restaurants, along with their Restaurant Weeks menus, can be found at www.ProvidenceRestaurantWeeks.com.

“Providence was recently named the number one food city in the United States by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine, as part of their ‘America’s Favorite Cities’ poll,” said Martha Sheridan, president and CEO of the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB), which coordinates the annual event. “This is a great opportunity for locals and visitors alike to sample the amazing and diverse group of restaurants that the Providence area has to offer.”

Reservations for each restaurant may be made online at www.ProvidenceRestaurantWeeks.com (unless otherwise noted) or by calling the restaurants directly. Providence Restaurant Weeks are sponsored Ruffino Fine Wines, Open Table and the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau.
