This has been, by far, the busiest holiday season that I can remember. December has been jam-packed with braving the malls for just the perfect gift, whipping up countless Christmas cookies and attending what feels like thousands of holiday parties to benefit this or that non-profit or cause near and dear to my heart. A very special treat and my only ounce of downtime was spent kicking up the flip flops and enjoying a trailer park brunch with some of Providence’s most theatrical and hilariously trashy, drag queens!
Ogie’s Trailer Park on the west end of Providence is the place to be for amazing vegetarian snacks, a full bar stocked with signature cocktails, a variety of beers and every so often the trio of Trailer Park Girls put on a show to liven up any brunch.
Every few months Neoki Feytal, Kelly Square, and Ninny Nothin take to the stage and entertain guests for several hours with songs and stories which will both delight and offend.
The brunch—not offensive at all! Although it’s not a traditional brunch of pancakes, eggs benedict or fresh cut fruit, the mac & cheese croquettes, bacon burger sliders, vegetarian chili and tasty little tater tots by far make up for what you might be missing! To wash that all down, an expertly crafted Bloody Mary or a “Christmas in a Glass” filled with fireball and rumchata will make your season bright!
If you want to check out a Trailer Park Girl’s Brunch, reserve your seats early, they always sell out! If your not into dinner and a show, Ogie’s is open every night for dinner and Sunday’s at noon for brunch!
