Drink Italian Wine with Gusto and Mother Pizzeria

Mucci Imports is coming to Newport and bringing Italy with them. Enjoy an afternoon of tasting Italy’s most interesting wines.

Begin the day at Giusto with “The Approachability of Obscure Italian Grapes” seminar hosted by wine journalist Giampaolo Gravina. This sit-down seminar will begin at 11am and feature unique Italian grape varietals and a discussion on why they are so wonderful.

Make your way over to Mother between 12pm-3pm to meet and taste wines with 17 winemakers from all over Italy including Casa di Baal, Tollara, Edoardo Patrone and more! Walk around to meet each producer pouring and talking about their selections. Snacks and bites from Mother and Giusto will be served throughout the tasting.

Maria from Newport Wine Cellar & Gourmet will be on hand to assist in purchasing your favorites from the day including discounts for purchasing the day of.

This is a two part event. The Seminar is held at Giusto from 11am-12pm. The walk-around tasting is held at Mother from 12pm-3pm. Tickets for each event are sold separately or you can buy a combo ticket for a discounted price to attend both. Tickets are refundable if canceled at least 48 hours before the start of the event.
