Giusto is teaming up with Chef David Standridge of The Shipwright’s Daughter to bring you the Feast of the Seven Fishes.
Feast of the Seven Fishes is an Italian tradition typically enjoyed on Christmas Eve. We are teaming up with Shipwright’s Daughter to celebrate this tradition and bring you a beautiful meal full of local, sustainable seafood sourced from Connecticut and Rhode Island waters. We’ll be crafting a beverage pairing with each of the 5 courses, along with specialty craft cocktails from the bar teams at Giusto and Shipwright’s Daughter.
Menu highlights include:
- Dogfish Baccalà Mantecato, Great Salt Pond Bay Scallop Crudo, Scungili
- Crudo of Stonington red shrimp, shiso buttermilk, lime, sesame
- Squid ink Lumache allo Scoglio- slipper limpets, east passage mussels, pt judith squid, white vermouth butter
- RI Tautog- green crab bagna cauda, romanesco, cipollini in saor, sicilian caper
- Yellowfin Tuna Wellington- tuna blood sausage, mushroom duxelle, tuna bordelaise
- Chocolate Torta- meyer lemon curd, sugar kelp gelato, finger lime caviar
Tickets are $150 per guest. In Giusto fashion, as philanthropy is at the heart of all they do, proceeds from the dinner will benefit Eating with the Ecosystems, a small non-profit organization based in Rhode Island with a mission to promote a place-based approach to sustaining New England’s wild seafood.
The event starts at 5 pm on December 17th, beginning with a cocktail reception. Guests will be invited to the table at 6 pm, and dinner will begin. There will be five courses each paired with an alcoholic beverage, non – alcoholic beverages are available upon request.
