National Marrow Donor Program Fundraiser

Jennifer Leal, a two-time Leukemia survivor will be celebrating her 6-year stem cell transplant anniversary on March 13th. She has turned her experience into her mission to raise awareness of, increase the number of donors and reduce healthcare disparities in the NMDP registry.
Jennifer is hosting a fundraiser at Air & Anchor located at the Garden City Shopping Center in Cranston, Rhode Island to support NMDP, a global nonprofit in cell therapy that manages the NMDP Registry of blood stem cell donors. Air & Anchor will donate 20% of sales from 6:00 – 8:00 pm both in-store and online using a special event code on March 13th to NMDP
NMDP has helped facilitate more than 135,000 blood stem cell transplants over the past 30 years, giving patients battling blood cancers like leukemia and blood disease like sickle cell a second chance at life.
The fundraiser will support research, NMDP Registry growth and patient assistance grants.
At the event you’ll have the opportunity to select in-stock necklaces, bracelets, earrings or customize your own jewelry including beaded styles and tailored chains. You can also select candles or apparel—while supporting a cause that saves lives.
Every year, more than 12,000 patients turn to NMDP to search for an unrelated blood stem cell donor to enable them to receive a blood stem cell transplant. However, according to patients and families, the financial burden continues to be the number one barrier for those in need of a transplant. The funds we raise help thousands of families with loved ones going through treatment each year. In 2023, NMDP provided $5.5 million in assistance to more than 2,600 families
