Nicks on Broadway Italian Winemaker Dinner with Paolo Manzone Winery

Paolo Manzone is a distinguished family-run winery in the heart Piedmont, in Barolo’s Serralunga d’Alba region. The winery was founded in 1999 by Paolo and his wife Luisella, on vineyard land that had belonged to her family for generations. Dedicated to showcasing the regional identity, these vineyards are planted to the native grape varietals of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, and Arneis.
With deep respect for the Piedmontese tradition, their production remains faithful to the classic style of hand selection and picking, slow vinification and aging practices. Each step of the process is meticulously followed to ensure the highest quality possible. In addition to the Manzone family, the process is overseen by winemaker Jairo Gustavo Neira, who joins us for this dinner. Jairo is a Colombian-Italian enologist with over three decades of experience in the wine industry all over the world, with the last twenty years spent in Piedmont. He has been focused in Barolo the last several years and is committed to sharing the story of Piedmont’s wines with the world.
The wines of Piedmont have always held a special place on wine list and in our hearts. Chef Derek has remarked that if he had to pick only one wine region to drink, it would be Piedmont. The versatility and range of Nebbiolo is unmatched and the wines of Paolo Manzone showcase this so elegantly. We’ll be pouring a beautiful range of wines, including Gavi, Barbaresco and Barolo.
Arrival time for this dinner is 6pm. The evening will start with an Oysters & Crostini Reception, followed by a seated dinner with wine pairings selected for each course. Conversation, Laughs, Fun.
