Celeste Wines of Contratto and La Spinetta Dinner

Celeste, located at 15 Kingstown Road in Narragansett, Rhode Island, will host a four-course La Spinetta wine dinner in partnership with Charlestown Wine & Spirit on Thursday, November 6^th.  Elisa Musso, export manager for Contratto and La Spinetta wineries, will guide guests through each of the four courses created by Executive Chef Andrew Gould. The evening will begin with Coccoli, savory Italian fried dough balls with 18-month Prosciutto di Parma  and the Il Rose di Casanova, featuring a floral and fruity bouquet with hints of citrus and Mediterranean scrub and a fresh and delicate palate.

The second course will feature Jonah Crab Toast with preserved lemon, hazelnut, and chervil, complemented by the pear and peach aromas and balanced palate of the 2022 Colli Tortonesi Timorasso.

A dish of Braised Lamb Plins with Pecorino Romano, cured olive, sage, and jus will be paired with the  2022 Ca’ di Pian Barbera d’Asti Superiore, featuring intense aromas of blackberry and morello cherries. The final course, a Sirloin Steak will be served with grilled polenta, extra virgin olive oil, rosemary, and the full bodied 2020 Il Nero di Casanova with hints of blackberries, blueberries, and ripe cherries with slight spicy notes.
