Sakonnet Vineyard Beaujolais Nouveau Day Wine Dinner
November 22, 2024 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Sakonnet Vineyard, an iconic Rhode Island landmark and New England’s oldest vineyard, will celebrate its first Wine Club release and Beaujolais Nouveau Day with a five-course small-plate culinary experience on Friday, November 22nd from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $140 per person, inclusive of tax, gratuity, and fees, and can be purchased here. Wine Club members will receive a 15% discount.
The evening will begin with a welcome reception featuring bubbles and light bites followed by a seated dinner, each course paired with wines from the Wine Club release, as well as a nouveau wine. Nouveau is a young wine that is released in the same year it is harvested. The term originated in the Beaujolais region of France, where the wine is known as Beaujolias Nouveau. This special wine is released on the third Thursday in November every year, resulting in a global celebration known as “Beaujolais Nouveau Day”. Sakonnet’s nouveau wine is 100% Chancellor, a hybrid red wine grape that was harvested on September 18th.
Members of Sakonnet Vineyard’s Wine Club receive 20% off quarterly wine allocations, each including three bottles selected by the winemaker; discounted bottles, tastings, retail, and food at the vineyard; and invitations to Wine Club release parties. Allocations can be shipped to 40 states or picked up at the winery. Membership is free and can be canceled at any time. To sign up, visit www.sakonnetwine.com/wine-club.
