Stoneacre Brasserie Debuts Afternoon Tea

Stoneacre Brasserie Afternoon Tea

Stoneacre Brasserie in Newport, RI debuted their weekly Afternoon Tea earlier this month, available Friday-Sunday from 2-4PM starting at $28 per person. The special weekend experience is made for the whole family to enjoy with two menus, one of which is made just for the kiddos.

The menu comes with a 3-tiered display of sweet and savory bites including Buttermilk Biscuits with Seasonal Jam, Honey Butter and Devonshire Cream, house made Cauliflower and Cashew Stuffed Peppadew PeppersSalmon Belly BLTsMacarons and Sea Salt and Heath Bar Brownies, among others. 

For the little ones, the Brasserie serves up Almond Butter and Grape Jelly “Uncrustables,” Cucumber and Cream Cheese Roll-ups, Vermont Cheddar Grilled CheeseApplewood Smoked Ham Baguette with Gruyere & Honey Mustard, as well as Hand Cut French Fries with Ketchup and Aioli

Specialty add-ons are available on Friday afternoons as well, for anyone looking to upgrade the experience.

The Afternoon Tea experience is available at Stoneacre Brasserie and will launch at the Chinese Tea House, located at the Marble House, later this Spring in collaboration with Stoneacre Hospitality Group.

Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm – Rhodium Gin School.  Enjoy an hour and a half of cocktails, gin history and tastings, starting with a welcome gin & tonic.  In addition to gin history, you’ll smell different botanicals and learn about taste profiles of different styles of gins.  A distiller with lead you through a tasting of Rhodium gins.  Class ends with a cocktail class when you get to shake your own gin drink.  You’ll receive a bottle of Rhodium gin of your choice to take home.  Snacks are included.  There is a limit of 8 students per class, so don’t wait to get your tickets HERE

IT’S TIME FOR POUTINE INDULGENCE!!  The MOWC 6th Annual Poutine Indulgence is happening from March 1-31, 2022.  There will be 7 restaurants competing for the title of Best Poutine.  Your job is to be the judge.  Get your Poutine Passport and sample poutine from the participating restaurants.  You’ll have until April 1 at midnight to vote for your favorite poutine.  The winner will be announced at the Museum’s annual Salute to Spring Event on Sunday, April 4.  Poutine Passports are available for $15 each or two for $25.  To get your Passport and to find out more details, including the participating restaurants, click HERE.
